Osteopathic treatments for injuries, aches and everyday strain, for surfers, families and everyone in between.
Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to health that looks at how your whole body moves and works together, not just the spot that hurts.
Using careful assessment and gentle, hands-on techniques, an osteopath works with your muscles, joints and connective tissue to ease tension, support movement and help your body do what it does best.
Every visit starts with a proper conversation and a thorough assessment, so the treatment fits you and the life you want to get back to, whether that's surfing, lifting your kids, or simply sitting through a workday without aching.
I'm a primary healthcare provider, which means you can book directly. And when it helps, I'll happily work alongside your GP or other health professionals.
Every body is different, so this isn't an exhaustive list. If you're not sure whether osteopathy is right for you, get in touch and I'll talk it through honestly.
Stiffness, strain and discomfort from daily life, work or sleep.
Sprains, strains and overuse from an active, sporting life.
Tension-related headaches and tightness through the neck and jaw.
Gentle support through pregnancy, and for your baby too.
The slow build-up of tension from sitting and screens.
Those everyday niggles that make moving less enjoyable than it should be.
I'm a registered osteopath based in Raglan, originally from France. I started Anchor Osteopathy because I wanted to care for the Raglan community. I have, and will keep, seeing patients in Hamilton, where I've done so for the last three years, but it was important to me to look after the community I live so closely to.
A little more about my osteopathic career. From starting to see an osteopath in my teenage years for various sports injuries, I went on to study osteopathy, graduating in 2020 from the European School of Osteopathy in the UK. I then worked in London, Paris and Singapore alongside physiotherapists and other osteopaths, before moving to Aotearoa in 2023.
My approach is gentle and practical, and I aim to tailor every treatment to the individual. By taking the time to understand your story, assess thoroughly, and explain my thinking, I strive to make you part of your recovery and every decision about your care. I use a wide range of osteopathic techniques, from soft tissue release, joint mobilisation and spinal manipulation to subtle cranial and visceral work. Over the years, I've seen and helped with a wide range of conditions.
Outside the clinic, I've always played a variety of sports, but these days you'll usually find me surfing, fishing or walking the coastline with my wife and daughter. I'm proud to have the opportunity to look after and be part of the Raglan community, and to be living in paradise, and I look forward to seeing you, in or out of the clinic!
If your problem was caused by an accident, ACC may subsidise your treatment, and you don't need to see a doctor first.
Some injury types (like gradual-onset or work overuse) need a doctor to lodge the claim, I'll guide you if that's the case.
